Tong Xie
Hi there! 👋 I’m Tong Xie, CEO and Founder of Green Dynamics and Adjunct Lecturer at UNSW Sydney. I co-lead the UNSW AI4Science group with Bram Hoex. I completed my PhD in Photovoltaics Materials and Computer Science at UNSW Sydney 🇦🇺 in 2025. Prior to that, I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Monash University (First Class Honours), where I completed my final-year project with Jacek Jasieniak, and Central South University (China).
My Current Interests:
AI for Science, Large Language Models (LLMs), Self-Driving Labs, Nano Thin Films, and Nano Particles.
My Current Service and Leadership:
Reviewer for Nature Communications, JACS, NeurIPS, ICLR, ACL, EMNLP and so on.
Member of the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering - IMNIS Program.
My research group, UNSW AI4Science, has received funding from the Australian Centre for Advanced Photovoltaics (ACAP), the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA), Microsoft Research AFMR, and others.
